I have had my Ender 5 Plus for three weeks and love it. My only recommendation is the build instructions were great to a point then just fell off before you actually got to the end of the build. Being new to 3D printing I had to call a friend to help my get the machine going.

Took quite a while to arrive, and was not ready to go after assembly out of the box. Took some research to update firmware, and get things running somewhat reliable. I've only done large prints with it, and they have mostly come out well aside from layer shift issues and noisiness and stringing. For the price, it could be a better out of the box experience, definitely expect to learn how to troubleshoot.

So far, this is a wonderful printer! Nice locking quick disconnect connectors! I don't like the way the firmware was configured, but it's definitely workable! I would have preferred a Z-endstop microswitch and a BL Touch setup. Also stepper drivers as daughter boards like the A4988 or DRV2208, so that subcomponents can more easily be replaced. I think the filament sensor would be better with a teflon tube in between it and the stepper motor. Overall, she's a lovely machine ready for customization :)

This is a great machine. Very solid and we'll constructed. Not 100% plug and play, does require minor adjustments with bed leveling and slicer profile, but Creality had been very responsive and helpful with my questions and issues. I have around 8 years experience in 3D printing and this is by far my favorite printer. I would not hesitate to recommend it or purchase it again.

First 3D printer ever. The installation manual was very good. The couple of side braces had to be turned over once I realized some of the top frame holes were not lining up. But overall, I'm very pleased with the unit. Pretty much worked as desired out of the box. I've had it four days now, and it's only had a couple of ten hour breaks. Once when paused in the middle of a 20 hr print, it restarted 1/2" off, so I had to split the print. Another time I stopped and restarted a print, and the X axis didn't home all the way. But still, extremely happy with the new experience. At the moment, I'm about 50/50 on just display items vs useful items. Thank you Creality!

I ordered after watching SexyCyborg's and Kersey Fabrication's review of the machine. I wanted a larger printer, with a self-leveling and the 5 + fit the bill. Yes, I know it's not a mature machine but I was willing to spend time to tweak it. Very happy so far, but as with any printer, it takes time to figure it all out. I wish Creality would release a Simplify3D profile as well as one for Cura 4.3.1. The free slicer is okay but very basic. Some FAQs around G-code configuration will help. The printer is a bit noisier than I would like but my printer is in an attic print farm so no big deal. I plan to buy Noctua fans for the machine (24V). You don't want to sleep next to it for sure. Upgrades that you must print are - Hot End and Build Plate strain relief. You will need to buy some hose wrap to help manage the wires but after that, you are good to go. On the wish list are linear rails and a factory quiet board and fan option and upgrade kit for users to purchase separately. Support has been good so far. I contacted them via chat and email and they were responsive in a day.

A It is a 8-bit board and the original board of ender 5 plus is not a silent board

Q On the Ender 5 Plus, what is the lead and pitch of the Z-axis lead screws? My printer bed make loud screeching noises when moving up and down despite having greased the screws. It has always done this, but it's time to fix it. I need to know which lead screw nuts to purchase.

A Ender 5PLUS: T8*4 Lead Screw and Brass Nut Please make sure to aligning the bed rods and it helps, or please moved it up and down and tightened the screw, the lube evened it out. Normally it eventually went away after a few prints. If need more help, please don't hesitate to contact us.
